Vladimir Ivanov (violin) is a professor, head of the Violin Chair, dean of the Orchestra Faculty of the P. I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, People's Artist of Russia.

He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory and finished post-graduate course (class of prof. Yu. Yankelevich).

Vladimir Ivanov is the laureate of the first award of J. S. Bach International Competition (Leipzig, Germany, 1972), owner of the Gold Medal of Katya Popova Laureate days (Pleven, Bulgaria, 1974), and the Gold Medal of Maurice Ravel Competition in Bordeaux (France, 1976,). He was a concertmaster of the student orchestra - the winner of Herbert von Karajan International Competition for Orchestra in Berlin.

Vladimir Ivanov is a member of the International Union of Musicians, laureate of the Moscow Award (1996), jury member of many international competitions.

He tours and conducts master classes in Russia and abroad (Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Austria, the USA, Denmark, Italy, South Korea, North Korea, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, and Chile). Ivanov has been playing with the «Moscow Trio» since 1976.
