Florent Monfort leads a musical career as a soloist and chamber musician, giving master classes and concerts in Europe (Italia, Finland, Ukraine, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Belgium, Holland) and abroad (South Korea, Russia, United States).
He graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris with Professor Claude Delangle, where he obtained two Masters in saxophone and pedagogy as a Bachelor in chamber music. In addition to that, he studied with several distinguished saxophonists and teachers such as Christian Wirth, Jean-Yves Fourmeau and Arno Bornkamp in Amsterdam.
Florent was awarded during several national and international musical events: 1st Prize at the international Jeunes talents de l’Ouest soloist competition (France) and Arjau chamber music competition (Spain); 2nd Prize at the international Saxiana and Zinetti (Italy) chamber music competitions; Special Yamaha Foundation Prize during the 1st Saxiana soloist competition (France).
Florent founded the Neva saxophone quartet, including Nikita Zimin (Russia), Carl-Emmnanuel Fisbach and Violaine Gestalder (France).
Florent Monfort manages a national Conservatory of Music, Theater and Dance in the suburb of Paris.
