Wind and Percussion Instruments

Born in 1989 in Lisets village, Ukraine, Oleg received his musical education in Lysets music school (Dmytro Volosianka), Pedagogical Practice Studio at Ivano-Frankivsk Music College (Oleksandr Melnik), afterwards he graduated from the P. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine (Prof. Yuri Vasylevych).

Oleg Moroz won several major prizes at international competitions such as International Children and Youth Art Competition "Sribny Dzvin (Silver Bell)” in Uzhgorod, International D. Bida Competition in Lviv, International competition “Art of the 21st Century” in Vorzel, Delphic Games of the modern era in Kishinev, Moldova, International competition “Selmer-Paris in Ukraine”, 2nd prize laureate of the “New Talent” Competition in Bratislava and others. He was also awarded scholarship from “New Names of Ukraine” Fund.

Oleg Moroz is a participant of concert programmes in the column hall of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, National Sanctuary Complex "Sophia of Kiev", National House of Scientists, Actors’ House, National Organ and Chamber Music Hall. As a soloist he collaborates with the orchestra of the art community “Elegy”, Kiev-Classic Orchestra, National Philharmonic of Ukraine orchestra, “Kiev Soloists” National Chamber Orchestra and “Harmonia Nobile” Chamber Orchestra.

Oleg Moroz is the soloist of the Taras Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine Orchestra and a teacher in M. Lysenko Specialized Music School of Kiev.

His repertoire includes numerous compositions of Ukrainian and foreign composers.

Only Oleg gave me the opportunity to really experience the wonderful harmony of youth and professional skills. I think that it should be the main purpose of the New Talent Competition. In particular, Poulenc in his performance was a kind of “aqua vitae.
