Conductor

The Wind Band conductor, Head of the Wind Instruments and Percussion Chamber of M.Glinka Conservatoire of Dnipropetrovsk.

Igor studied at Lviv musical boarding school named after S. Krushelnitskaya in oboe class (cl. of A. Srebnitsky) and at P.I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in oboe class (cl. of Ye. Nosyrev).

He is a jury member in regional, all-Ukrainian and international competitions of wind and percussion performers such as: The Ukrainian Wind and Percussion Performers Competition “Dniprovski Surmy” (Kyiv), International Young Performers Festival “Crimean Spring” (Yalta), Open Wind and Percussion Performers Competition at M. Glinka Conservatoire of Dnipropetrovsk etc.

Igor Gruzin has been teaching since 1983 in oboe class, since 1989 – in saxophone class.

He is the leader of the saxophone quartet of M. Glinka Conservatoire of Dnipropetrovsk. Igor takes an active part in numerous concert events of the conservatoire and Dnipropetrovsk.
