Larisa Kirillina is a professor of the History of Foreign Music Chair at P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, leading scientific worker of the department of Western Classical Art of the Russian State Institute of Art Studies, Candidate of Art Studies.
She also taught at The Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, in High School of Music in Lovran (Croatia), in Russian State Humanitarian University, held master classes at the Kazan and St. Petersburg conservatories.
Larisa Kirilina`s scientific and creative work is directed to research of musical culture of the classical epoch (XVIII - early XIX centuries), history of musical theatre, history of music and theoretical studies.
She is the author of monographs: “Beethoven. Life and Creative Work”, “Classical Style in Music of the XVIII - early XIX Centuries”, “Reformative Operas of Gluck”, “Italian Opera of the First Half of the XX Century”.
