Denis Severin (cello) is a professor of Geneva University of Music and the Bern University of Arts (Switzerland), the laureate of international competitions.
He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky and finished post-graduate course at the same institution (class of cello, prof. D. Miller). He continued his education at the Geneva Conservatory, the Basel Music Academy (class of prof. T. Demeng), the Institute of Ancient Music in Basel (class of prof. Ch.Coin) (Switzerland) and finished master courses of such professors as: J. Shtarker, N. Gutman, A. Menezes, A. Bilsma, T. Mork.
D. Severin performs as a soloist with orchestras: the Ukrainian National Orchestra, the European Youth Orchestra, the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Chamber Orchestra «Kyiv Soloists», the Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra «Vremena Goda» (Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine), the Pskov Chamber Orchestra (Russia).
Denis is the permanent participant of international festivals, has the fund CD records, records on radio of Switzerland, Poland, France and Germany.
